Political Positions
Education
• The DTC strong advocates for a better school system, with small class sizes, education above the legal minimum, with classes in not just standard academics but also art, music, information technology, extra-curricular activities, and sports.
Environment
• Open space and public space make for a better community. Expansion of open space, including Sprague Land Preserve, should be supported as possible without substantive increases to the budget.
Budget
• The DTC advocates a budget that minimizes taxes while sustaining a good quality of life in Sprague and excellence in education.
Food Bank
• The DTC advocates more open hours for the Food Bank at town hall, and DTC volunteers are willing to work during those hours.

• None under consideration
The DTC supports Cathy Osten for State Senate. She is a long-tme resident of Sprague. As First Selectman she was beyond doubt the most productive First Selectman in the town's history. As a State Senator, she has defended and promoted the values of the Democratic party and has earmarked millions of dollars for projects in Sprague.
