State Senator Cathy Osten—former First Selectman of Sprague—received a "long overdue" award today from the small-town advocacy group that recognizes and honors state lawmakers and public officials who have distinguished themselves as outstanding advocates on issues affecting Connecticut’s small towns.
The Connecticut Council of Small Towns (COST) "Town Crier Award" is a brass bell symbolizing the instrument used by town criers in the past to deliver important community news.
